Alfred Wheeler (1851-1932)
The Duke of Westminster's colt Ormonde was one of the greatest horses of the nineteenth century. In 1886 he won the 2,000 Guineas ridden by George Barrett. Fred Archer took over and rode him to an easy victory in the Derby and St Leger, completing the Triple Crown.
